"Raja Bomoh" Ibrahim Mat Zain has threatened to slap Youth and Sports Minister Khairy Jamaluddin for calling for his arrest.
Khairy, the Rembau MP, had tweeted that the "magic carpet" bomoh ought to be arrested for bringing shame to Malaysia.
In a YouTube video clip broadcast by the www.suara.tv blog, Ibrahim expressed his anger over Khairy's remarks.
"Let me be straightforward with Khairy Jamaluddin today. I challenge him," he said.
"Resign his position as a minister and I will resign as a grandmaster. Let us compete," he added.
"I will slap him like a crocodile, then he will know," Ibrahim said.
Ibrahim rose to local and international prominence when he appeared at the Kuala Lumpur International Airport on Monday with two bamboo sticks and a fish trap.
The fish trap was placed on the head of a man who was present at the airport and Ibrahim used the two bamboo sticks as binoculars to locate MH370.
Earlier today, Ibrahim was reported to have threatened to file a lawsuit against any quarters who alleged that he was practising deviant Islamic teachings.
Following Khairy's tweet, Ibrahim challenged the Umno Youth chief to repeat his remarks, saying he would sue Hishammuddin for RM100 million.
"I want to let Khairy know, if he repeats his words again, I will file a RM100 million lawsuit against him for defamation.
"My students who number in the millions are willing to present themselves in court," Ibrahim claimed.
On March 12, Khairy had tweeted in his Twitter account that the bomoh, who was shown in a video sitting on a "magic carpet", ought to be arrested for shaming Malaysia.
Malaysia Airlines flight MH370, carrying 12 crew members and 227 passengers, dropped off the radar at 1.20am on Saturday morning.
While looking through the bamboo binoculars, Ibrahim also recited words from the Islamic scriptures.
